Identifying fungal disease in dogs.

Fungi are everywhere they are always in the dog's skin, if the condition is good with dogs imune fine day, the fungus will not infect the dog's skin. Infected dogs skin when the skin condition worse, imune not yet mature (the puppy) and the number of fungi which there are very many.

Imune who have not matured

Dog fungal skin infections in general there are only 2 kinds of Malassezia and Tinea. 

Malassezia

Tinea (Ringworm) 

Ringworm has nothing to do with worms. So called because of circular tracks like worms. Are skin infections that are due to fungal genus or genus Microsporum Thrycophyton. There are 3 kinds and 6 kinds of Microsporum Thrycophyton that causes ringworm, 3 of them attacked a dog and a cat. Most dogs that attack are Microsporum Canis. Ringworm diagnosis

Ringworm Treatment 

* If the dog is definitely detected ringworm, ringworm contagious given to dogs and to humans and breed very quickly, quarantine your dog. Wash all equipment groomer with bleach (like bayclin), let sit, rinse and drying, vacuum all the usual places that you visit the dog, apply with bayclin. if often sleeping in bed, instead of all the sheets and pillowcases, wash with hot water. 

* Shave the affected part and ringworm. 

* Bathe your dog with anti-fungal shampoo (Ketaconazole or Miconazole) twice a week or once a week. 

* Every morning apply anti-fungal ointment (Ketaconazole or Miconazole). 

* Every evening apply antiseptic ointment (Povidone Iodine / Betadine). 

* 3 days conditions will improve, continue up to 2 weeks. 

DO NOT furnish antibiotics (such as Oxytetracycline, Bacitracin, Neomycin, Polymyxin, etc.) or antihistamines (Hydrocortizone, Prednisone, etc.) on the ringworm, it will not help to eliminate ringworm. Antibiotics are not anti-fungal anti-bacterial, killing almost all the flora place he applied, it will disturb the balance of skin flora and disturb the body imune against ringworm. 

Antihistamines are anti-inflammatory by lowering the body imune, and disturbing imune against ringworm. The use of antibiotics and antihistamines that prolong this recovery is ringworm. Here, the role Betadine to help relieve inflammation and mild infection. 

But when the inflammation is too severe, had to be appeased before the antihistamine. When you have a severe bacterial infection that had to be appeased first with antibiotics. Stop when inflammation or infection is good. 

Usually that exposed skin will ringworm bald, long enough hair will grow back, even if there is permanent inflammation and infection that severe. Another great way to fight ringworm, but Ketoconazole / Miconazole and Betadine is a safe and good and fast. 

Note: If forced to give a good oral anti-fungal medications, antihistamines, antibiotics. Enlist the help of a vet. Side effects of the three drugs are very disturbing if not dosed and applied correctly.
