Identify Types of Dog Fur.

Dog hair is composed of various types ranging from straight, curly, long, short, fine and coarse. there are even some types of dogs that have dreads and there is little or no fur at certain parts.

Dogs basically have two types of fur:

• Double Coat

 

Most dogs have a top coat consisting of leg feathers waterproof. Top Coat serves to protect the skin and coat the bottom layer (undercoat) that is smooth and soft bristles and shorter than the top coat. Fur bottom layer (undercoat) serves as a barrier to keep the dog warm during cold weather. This breed most shed fur (fur bottom layer) twice a year.

•  Single Coat

This species has only a top coat, which is generally less loss than other types of double coat.

You can determine the type of dog's fur with fur separating to see if he has long hair, stiff bristles along with the soft and subtle meaning is kind of a double coat of fur or have the same type of fur around the part that matters is the kind of single coat.

In addition, there is also some kind of fur-owned dogs, namely:

• Hairy Smooth (Smooth Coat)

Fluffy dog has very short fur close to the skin like a Dalmatian and the Bulldog. This type can be a double coat or single coat. fluffy dog types tend not to bother when digrooming though they belong to the type of loss / shedding.

• Shaggy (Wiry Coat)

Wire-haired dogs often have a coarse outer layer and a soft undercoat in it (double coat), but there is also a single coat. Fur type has wavy hair / curly but when you pet her fur feels a little rough. An example is the Terrier dog breed.

• Hairy Curly (Curly Coat)

 

 Very little curly-haired dog, but you can recognize them. They are a Poodle, Portuguese Water Dog and Iris Water Spaniel. This dog has curly fur that requires extra care including fur trim and comb.

• Dreadlocks hairy

 

This type of fur curled and matted fur shape. This kind of takes care to prevent it from creasing. This breed is the Puli and the Komondor.
